1st Wedding of the Year! Alex and Jenell!

And!  It was in the same venue I married Quentin!  What a special day!  I love being part of weddings!  It is such a great feeling to give people the wedding that they want!  I love writing the vows, and personalizing them to their desires and needs!

To obtain a Hamilton County marriage license, go to the Hamilton County Probate Court.  Remember, if you are getting married in Ohio, you get the marriage license in the county you will be married in.

Gary and Emily

Emily and Gary tied the knot!  Love the fall theme! Gary built the Arbor and cupcake tree by hand! (I should get him to come work for me!)

Amanda and Michael

Amanda and Michael were married at Pattison Park in Batavia. What a fantastic site! A quaint gazebo and landscaped scenery coupled with a climate controlled lodge make this site perfect for weddings!  A gorgeous gem nestled in Clermont County.

To obtain a marriage license in Clermont County, go to the Clermont County Probate Court Website.

Congrats to Christina and Jeremy!

My first wedding (as an officiant) went off without a hitch! Or... with one, lol. The weather was perfect for their casual backyard wedding. Congratulations to Christina, and her new husband Jeremy! I wish many years of magic!

Licensed in Ohio!

Just checked the Ohio Secretary of State website for the status of my application, and it went into effect on July 5th! So excited! Next up, Indiana, and I will have the entire tri-state area covered!  YES!

It's really awesome, because in October I will be officiating for one of my oldest and dearest friends!

A touch of whimsy?

One of my favorite new trends in weddings, is to ditch the sterile white "5 star Hotel" thing, and get a little whimsical!  Themed weddings make me squee like a 10 year old girl at a pony farm.  (Well, at 39, I'd still squee at a Pony Farm.)

The pictures of these weddings is my inspiration for the wedding venue that I am in the beginning stages of planning.  (Just look at my Pinterest board!)  I am designing a Wedding Photographer's Dream Venue!

Many couples are choosing Back Yard Wedding Barbeques over the traditional church/banquet hall.  And I would LOVE to see more Barn Weddings.  The more rustic the better!  This is Kentucky, after all, where are all of my Pony Farm Weddings!?

I know, I know, you hear the term "Theme Weddings" and you instantly picture Spock Ears or Renaissance clothes.  But it's become much more.  Perusing the blogs, I've seen Circus and Carnival themes, rock and roll and steampunk, as well as some pretty neat casual to-dos, as well.

And a backyard wedding won't cost as much as a run of the mill banquet hall venue, either.  I really wish the DIY trend was in when I got married.  I tried to hard to look classy, and it just came off looking... well... lacking, because that's exactly what my budget was.  Lacking.  (another reason I am begging for a vow renewal -plus I like wearing pretty dresses!)
